The icons are artwork. The included example supplies the theme switching, saves a visitor’s preference where their browser allows it, and starts with their device preference.
- Choose a design. Download its ZIP and extract it first.
- Open the example. Double-click
example/index.htmland try the switch. - Make it yours. Follow your kit’s README or classic PDF guide to copy the files into your site or connect the images to your existing theme control.
- Check both themes. Test on a phone, with a keyboard and after reloading.
ILLUSTRATED GUIDE FOR THE CLASSIC KITS
No mystery folders.
The guide covers file sizes, setup, existing websites, website builders, accessibility, troubleshooting and launch checks.
Classic-kit PNG widths: 64, 128, 256 and 512 pixels. The original 4:5 proportions are preserved. SVGs scale to any size.
Some website builders require a plan with custom code support. An image block alone cannot change the site’s theme.
