A clearer brief.
A better starting point.
Six useful questions. One copy-ready prompt. No magic words required.
Your copy-ready brief
0 charactersFill in a section to start your brief.
Give the tool an actual stopping point. “Fix this test and report the result” is easier to verify than “make everything awesome”.
Prompt checklist: how to use it.
Turn a messy request into a small, checkable job—without sending it anywhere.
Quick start
Before you start: Use a current browser with JavaScript enabled. No installation, AI subscription or API key is needed. Keep confidential material and authentication details out of the fields.
Choose one result
Use a blank brief or select an example. Download any current draft before loading another example.
Add the useful context
Explain what exists, then name the goal and supporting evidence. Avoid pasting the whole history when a few facts will do.
Set the boundaries
State what must not change, the required output and the check that defines success.
Review before sharing
Read the generated brief on the right. Remove secrets, assumptions disguised as facts and conflicting instructions.
Copy or download
Choose Copy brief or Save .txt. Paste into your chosen assistant yourself. Local saving is optional and tied to this browser.
Something not working?
| What you see | What to try |
|---|---|
| Output looks empty | Fill at least one section; confirm JavaScript is enabled. |
| Copy blocked | Use the selected-text fallback or Save .txt. |
| Draft disappeared | Local saving is optional and tied to one browser profile. Download important briefs. |
| Assistant ignored a boundary | Review its result; the brief is guidance, not an enforceable permission or spending control. |
Questions, answered.

Do I need a ChatGPT subscription or API key?
No. This is a local prompt-formatting tool, not an AI chatbot. It works without an AI account. The service you later paste the brief into may have its own cost and rules.
What should I put in Context?
Two or three sentences explaining what exists and who it is for. Name only the relevant files or pages. A useful brief does not need your whole project history.
What belongs in Evidence?
Actual error messages, exact file paths that are safe to share, observed results and approved facts. Label guesses as guesses. For a restart, distinguish completed and verified work from plans.
How small should the task be?
Start with one result you can check: one failing test, one customer email or one comparison table. Scope limits help the next worker understand the task, but they cannot enforce an AI provider’s spend cap.
How do I make a good Definition of done?
State the test or check, the deliverable and the stop point. For example: the named test passes; show the patch and exact test command; do not edit live listings; stop after reporting.
Can I use it for non-coding work?
Yes. Choose a customer-email or research-comparison example, then replace the details. The same six headings work for writing, planning and practical admin.
How does the project-handover example help?
It asks you to record the current position, completed evidence, settled decisions and one next action. It does not automatically summarise a chat, inspect a repository or guarantee that another assistant will remember it.
Does this send my information to Rob or an AI model?
The browser tool assembles or calculates on your device. This version makes no AI requests and does not submit your input to Rob. Your host still receives ordinary page-request information. Browser extensions, a shared profile or malware can see more than this page controls, so do not enter secrets.
Does the tool save my text automatically?
No, unless you select Save this draft on this device. That uses this browser profile’s local storage, not encrypted cloud storage. Clear everything removes that saved copy. It does not delete text files or clipboard content you already exported.
Copy does not work. What do I do?
Your browser may block clipboard access. The tool selects the output instead; use your normal Copy command. Save .txt is another option. A browser with JavaScript disabled cannot build the brief.
Why are there no magic instructions that guarantee accuracy?
A prompt cannot guarantee model accuracy, lawful output or low usage. Verify the result yourself, preserve backups and keep consequential decisions under human review.
Will loading an example replace my current draft?
Yes, the example fills all six fields. Copy or download a draft you want to keep before loading a different example. You can also save several separate text files with meaningful names.
What if local saving is blocked or I use private browsing?
The tool can still build a brief in the current tab. Copy or download it before closing. Local drafts do not sync between devices, browser profiles or different website addresses.
